Ancillary Task

Short Film posters

Short film poster 1

This was the first short film poster that I found. I found this poster interesting because of the choice of colouring used for the poster. It shows a glimpse of mystery and that is an aspect of our film the two main protagonist don't know each other and that is the aspect of mystery in our film. Another trait that maid this poster so interesting was the way the main protagonist is shown or presented to the audience. This picture was shot from a lower angle reviling right side of the protagonists face. I found this interesting because it makes the character more powerful.

Short film poster 2

This is a second look at a short film poster that has already been created by an indie film company. the reason this poster caught my eye was the fact that the character is so cryptic and in a way so is our characters.

Short film poster 3

This is the third poster that i looked at and the reason why this is the best out of the three os because this poster would work well for our film. The main plot for our film is that two people that don't know one another and they are going to compete for the same job. In this poster you have both characters face to face and that could wok really well for our film.

We decided to attempt to remake the boxing style poster using our own two protagonists.

Attempt 1

Attempt 2

This is the way that we decided that we wanted to use some of the codes and conventions that the other poster presented that we have looked at
To one side is our first attempt at re-making the boxing style plan. We chose to have the two characters confronting straightforwardly at one
another. We done this on the grounds that they're in immediate rivalry with one another so they ought to be specifically confronting one another. The issue with the first photograph is that the point of character one (left) is distinctive to that of character two (right). It appeared somewhat unbalanced with the points of their heads being diverse so we chose to re-shoot it.

The second shot to one side was an extraordinary change. The edges of their heads is currently even and you can practically feel there being focused strain between the two. The second change we made was taking the photo from somewhat further back indicating a greater amount of their abdominal area. In doing as such it just seems all the more intense as a picture for the two characters. You show signs of improvement comprehension of their non-verbal communication.Short poster Draft

This is our first attempt at creating our poster for our short film. This first attempt has many aspects of the other short poster that i have looked at above. The colour choices is the same as the one from the first poster that I looked at. It also has the cryptic aspect with a blacked out figure on our poster just like the second poster that i looked at. We have both the main characters face to face like the third poster.

This is the feedback that we have for the first poster and the majority has really strong positives to say about this short film poster.

This is the final poster that we have created. This version of the poster has some big improvements to its predecessor as that this version is not longer as wide as the other poster.  Also the title sequence is different as its now straight.  On this version we have some information on the top of the screen.

Radio Advert

This is our first radio draft.  This was our first attempt at cresting a different way to market our film. We didn't want to just say what the film was about and make it dull we wanted to come out with an interesting way to get our audience engaged with the radio advert.

This is mostly positive feedback but we have found some areas where we could improve on. Also some of the things that the presenter says dose not match for example the presenter says "we all know KARJ Productions" and thats not actually true.

This is the new radio advert and a bigger improvement to the older radio advert. This version is a lot more entertaining.  This version of the radio advert has a more unique way of presenting and getting into the audiences head. The way that this radio advert is presented is relatable to the public as every one had to look for a job at some point in their lives.
